1st unit done!
I know it has been awhile since I last blogged. I will do better about posting more frequently. My first unit oschool will be over thursday afternoon and I start the second unit on friday. I am very excited because I found out today I have a 4.0 in class. I know it has only been a month, however it has been a difficult one and I have worked extremely hard. My goal is to keep this grade point average for the next 5 months before I go out on my externship.
I have been praying alot about the externship. Even though it is a few months away I need time to pray and weigh options. If I had to make a decision today, I feel I am being lead to work in an Ob Gyn office. I have also been praying about a pediatric' s clinic as well as a plastic surgeon's office. Please keep this part of schooling in your prayers as I will be on externship for 2 months. I would like to be placed where the Lord sees fit for helping others in more ways than just being an M.A.
I am busy this week with a skit, paper and presentation, tests and studying. Other than this not much happening.
I am down about 60 pounds. I am feeling a little discouraged as I weighed after being on a liquid diet for two days and the scale says I am up three pounds. Although I know woman fluctuate 5-10 pounds, it is hard for me to see the scale go up when I hardly eat. I quit taking my medication for swelling after I had the dehydration and anxiety attack last week. This could be part of why I am up a bit. I relize my weight is not who I am, however it is a key to let me know where I stand. For me, it still seems to be a battle. The eating or not eating isn't so bad, it's the mental and emotional part that I struggle with the most. Please continue to pray for me, not so much that I keep losing weight because it is inevitable I will, but pray I can recover and heal in all aspects besides just physically and I can use this experience and lifestyle to glorify God. Lights out and good night!

Good prayer request. We will pray for you. We'll thank God for you as well. You have encouraged and taught Nicole and I through your passion to communicate truth in all things.

You have a lot of great things going on! I am really excited to hear about your school and your weight loss. It makes me think of the excitement I had when I was getting close to graduating from college. And of course losing weight is always fun, it is so cool to know you can "count on" losing more.
We're proud of you!
How's the 2nd unit going so far?
