OOOO..LA,LA.........

Lights, shopping, restaurants, movies..........Starbucks and Ikea; FABULOUS! There is nothing like being a Fabulous city gal....except being a princess of Jesus!

I love living in the city! Although I think I would love living downtown in a loft still. :) Sometimes it is like a dream......Redecorating the apartment, lounging by the pool with a great book, getting a pedi....WAIT! WAKE UP! What about responsibilities, lists, doing things correctly......Sure, but what is being an awesome christian (who now lives in the city) without fun and laughter! The bible does not tell us being a child of God is a stale life. No! Jesus tells us of an amazing life we can have with Him (when we choose HIM) now on earth as well as in heaven! Jesus had fun, laughter and enjoyment. He tells us how to have peace, love, joy and happiness. Isn't this what alot of people are looking for in this world, yet do not find until they make a decision to have a relationship with Jesus and not of the world? I believe so. I know I have!
I am discovering since my surgery that my tastes are changing...meaning my taste buds with food. I have discovered a hot tea that I really love! Passion...Mmmm, it is fabulous! (of course I am talking about the tea title in the last statement.) It is a beautiful purple, all herbal tea. I love to make it and smell the aroma as well as the after taste..Thank you Starbucks! I have finally found something else I can have that I enjoy.
I am very excited to start school 1 week from this friday (July 7th, Happy birthday dad!) I will be attending PCI Health Training. With the Lord by my side, in 9 months I will be a Certified Medical Assistant. I would like to work in pediatrics if this is where the Lord would have me to be. If not I know wherever the Lord leads me I will be a great asset and an amzing CMA because of the compassion and responsibility the Lord has instilled in me.
I live in a great apartment and aprt. complex. It is a gated community and people are friendly. This was a huge move for me and I, (in the past couple of months) have been worried because I did not know a single soul over here. Although once I stopped worrying and started praying about this, leaving it with God I have begun to meet different people. I am excited to make friends and share who and who's I am.
I also started a belly dance class...That's right you read it..a belly dance class. I love it! Talk about healthy, fun and freeing...It is FABULOUS!! I did have to stop calss for now as I did just have surgery, however Sa'diyya starts new classes again in September and I will be their. I really enjoy learning from Sa'diyya as she teaches healthy body image and doing this kind of dance for yourself. She does not teach or perform this tradition as a sensul or sexual dance as some others do. She is a christian and believes in having healthy body image.
